Distorted !
I love shooting with wide angle lenses but sometimes you have to be careful of exaggerated distortion. In this case I was shooting with an 18-55mm lens at 18mm which really is not that wide but when combined with the angle you shoot at (in this case up) straight lines can look fairly skewed. I hope you enjoy.

Broken Spirits !
I love finding old abandoned buildings to photograph. I think about all the history and the people that went through their doors and in this case the dark spirits that were left behind in this Mental Institution. I chose black and white to highlight the “vibes” this building gives off. I hope you enjoy.

Over Run !
I believe this is one of the abandoned buildings from the Central Islip Mental Institution. They are in very close proximity to the New York Institute of Technology in Central Islip which is on the old mental institution grounds.
The vines seem to be in charge these days. I hope you enjoy.
