I love Gill’s remark. There is so much going on in this photo: smells, textures, life, and pain that you have to study it. No quick glance here. I actually clicked on it to see the quality of the x100 myself. Amazing. There’s a crumpled up soda can in the trash lower right.

Thank you Emilio 🙂 I am extremely happy with the resolution on all of the APS sensor Fuji’s I own I cannot stop using them even though sometimes I have an urge to go shooting with the full frame Nikon.

I love the kaleidoscopic feel of the window glass. Graffiti artists remind me of vultures, hanging over the dying corpses of buildings, waiting to tag them.

What is it about this sort of scene that is so utterly fascinating? There may be a lot of pain there, but that aside its a visual mosaic of textures and life passing through. A collage of life, sounds and smells all in one frame . Great capture. ( having said that I only hope someone doesn’t have to live there, and that this is only a moment in its story and recovery is in that beam of light round that corner)

Thank you Gill 🙂 Not to worry this facility is abandoned and no one has to live here. Have a great day.

The lines and angles in this shot are fantastic, coupled with the textures and tones, it makes for a great composition. How are you finding the X100 Joe?
