I love shooting with wide angle lenses but sometimes you have to be careful of exaggerated distortion. In this case I was shooting with an 18-55mm lens at 18mm which really is not that wide but when combined with the angle you shoot at (in this case up) straight lines can look fairly skewed. I hope you enjoy.

I think the distortion works well here. Nice line from the conduit on the ceiling to fixture (the cracks in the ceiling too); additionally the lines along the floor and ceiling really lead me to the center and make me wonder what lies beyond that window. I do like the distortion a wide angle lens gives, but when I want to correct it I am thankful for the automation in LR. It works so well.

The distortion here makes the photo look quite interesting. Really brings out the ceiling, which has a lot of cracks… spooky a bit. π
