This entrance way has seen better days but typical of older buildings the slate roof and copper overhang will last forever. I hope you enjoy.

I love these abandoned home series, I don’t know why actually. I guess they give me feeling of change and evolution in a good way. I guess it’s also ’cause you include the weeds and nature ‘invading’ but all in a good way.

Fascinating this subject matter – abandoned old buildings. Although it’s a little sad to see them neglected and in disrepair. The best is when someone ‘saves’ the building and restores it. Thanks for a thoughtful picture.

I agree someone should be restoring these buildings, they are really built well and even have slate roofs which last forever. Thank you and have a great day 😀

You are on a roll with these doorway shots, and I love them. the clarity and color are so great. I long for the day when my images look this good. Not lblowing smoke up … well, you know … I’m very serious and envious!

Thank you for the compliment Laurie but I think your photos are great 😀 I think the clarity of the images is due to the lack of an AA filter on these Fujifilm cameras I am using. Most cameras have these filters over their sensors to prevent moire, but some companies like Fuji found another way to prevent this and removed the filters. Have a great day.

I have similar thoughts with Mike, this is wonderful and creepy at the same time. 🙂 And, I love that overhang, quite a unique one with that “lacy” edge. Great photo Joe!

Mike is the master of black and white and I am the grasshopper, LOL. I just had to say that because he responded to one of my comments with the term “grasshopper”. Mike is my home boy, LOL. Thank very much Elina I think the overhang is cool too 😄

First you have to find an abandoned mental institution, they seem to only grow there, LOL. Thank you and I am enjoying your photos even though you can’t find any vines 😀
