“My Fellow Americans”
Here I go again getting up on a soap box and preaching, but when it comes to homeless people I just can’t help myself. In a country as wealthy as ours there is no excuse to even have one homeless person. We have wars on terrorism, wars on drugs, wars on super sized soft drinks, wars on everything except for those who are vulnerable and living on the street. On this particular day in Manhattan I was bundled up and freezing, it was about 15 degrees Fahrenheit and windy so I could imagine how cold he was. The first words out of any politician when running for office and making a speech is “My Fellow Americans”. Why are we getting immune to helping “Our Fellow Americans” ?

While this beautiful young woman was obsessed with her phone I was admiring her very stylish wardrobe. Shot with an Olympus OMD E-M5 and 14mm f/2.5 Panasonic/Lumix pancake lens. I hope you enjoy.
Happy 100th Anniversary !
In the middle of the madness we call Manhattan is a place from another era. A place of magnificent beauty. A place built by one of the men who built America, railroad tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt. The place is Grand Central Terminal and it is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this year.
From the moment you approach Grand Central Terminal you are greeted with ornate steel (probably provided by Andrew Carnegie’s Steel Company) and fine woodwork.
The exterior of the terminal is illuminated by old time lighting to preserve the feeling of yesteryear.
As you enter you are greeted by floor to ceiling marble and chandeliers.
In the main section of the terminal the view gets exquisite.
The old time ticket windows are even magnificent.
On the second level just underneath these glorious windows is the famous Apple store that never closes.
A gentleman pauses to admire the beauty.

So happy anniversary Grand Central Terminal, you are indeed a sight to behold and a grand throwback from years gone by.
We Interrupt Our Regularly Scheduled Posting !!!!
Every September in Little Italy, Manhattan the San Gennaro Feast takes place. This year the 87th annual feast takes place September 12th to the 22nd. My wife and I made the trip this year as in past years and the food was spectacular. All of the photos in this post were taken on Mulberry Street because we ate way too much and couldn’t walk any further.
We had dinner at a restaurant called Amici II which is pictured below (looked like a place straight out of the movie Goodfellas).
Of course there were the usual street vendors and restaurants that set up outdoor dining and cooking facilities so the smells will overload your senses as you walk down the street.
Maybe you just came for a little taste of the awesome Italian sausage ?
Or maybe a little sausage and peppers ?
Or maybe you just came for a cannoli ?
Too full ? C’mon, mangia !
Or some people might of just came to try and find the guy with a cat on his head !
FUGGEDABOUTIT !!
We gotta go take a nap, we’re stuffed, Caio ! Buona salute e fortuna !
