Sagamore Hill

SagamoreOne

As most people already know Sagamore Hill was the home of Theodore Roosevelt the 26th American President. I was planning to post a series of photos of the main home but unfortunately when I arrived at Sagamore Hill I learned the main house was off limits due to extensive renovations so I had to take a photo from the only angle I could get with a telephoto lens.

SagamoreThree

This is an image of the windmill that was used to drive a steel cable that operated a pump for water delivery into the home.

SagamoreFour

Here is an image of the steel cable going through the roof of the pump house which is completely underground except for the roof.

SagamoreTwo

A copy of newspaper from May 1905 explaining how much President Roosevelt loved his Long Island home.

I Was Strolling Through The Park One Day

WalkingPark

In the merry merry month of May, oh WOW it’s June already :) I used a long lens to compress the perspective in this classic image of an “S” curve path. I hope you enjoy.
