No matter which name you remember this artist as Cat Stevens or Yusuf Islam he is still great. Here is a live performance of “Father An Son”.

This shot is one of my very latest. People are what really fascinate me. I’m a lazy photographer and I just stand in one place while the family shops and wait for the world to pass by my lens. However owning a Leica will not turn you into Henri Cartier Bresson overnight, I’ve miles of film and hundreds of digital images to prove it. However if you work at it, occasionally some magic happens, like this shot. I love the body language, and the facial expression of this lady talking to the local priest. Taken in Chios ,Greece where I spent my summer holidays this year.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Vacation and another early morning walk, this time along the Salt Pond.
Seriously! How could a person not feel more peaceful just by gazing upon this reflection? I try to remember this lovely scene as I balance the demands of life and while I may not always balance them as perfectly as this reflection, I do know that life is good and I am fortunate. I hope the same for you.

Standing in a park, dozens of bicyclists swirling past me,
I caught sight of the woman’s hands first. Hands with a history.
As I turned my full attention to her, I saw her lovely face,
lined with the same history as her hands.
I saw her companion quietly and patiently waiting
as she readied herself for their ride.
I saw a simple scene that filled my mind with so many thoughts.
I knew I had to capture it.
