Fujifilm X-E4 and XF 27mm WR lens
I’m sure most of you have previously heard the term George Washington slept here. This is Sagtikos Manor in West Bay Shore Long Island and according to George Washington’s diary he actually did spend the night here during his tour of Long Island in 1790.

Love the style of these houses, the look so quaint. You don’t get houses designed like that here in the UK.

Thank you Ryan. 👍🏻 This particular home has only lasted this long because its in a historical society trust. Usually homes built in the USA don’t survive this long. I’m always telling myself that I wish more homes in the USA were built like the stone and brick structures in the UK.

I can definitely see the benefit to houses/buildings being built with stone/brick. But I also appreciate the architecture of the homes like those in your photo.
