The 90mm f/2 is a spectacular lens but someone is interested in buying mine tonight so I will have to wait for the release of the 80mm Macro. You should check out all of the Fuji f/2 primes the 23mm, 35mm and 50mm f/2’s are all under $500 and they are outstanding.
Hi Joe, I’ve looked at the 35, 50 and some other primes. They are great. (love my Nikon 50mm F/1.4) With the 18-55, deciding which would be a good choice for the next lens.
There are two versions of the 23 and 35mm lenses Jane. The 1st versions 23mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 are spectacular performers but have the older focusing motors which are a little slower and noisy. The newer 23, 35 and 50mm are the second generation faster focusing and weatherproof lenses which are less expensive than the 1st. generation. I have all the f/2 series lenses and my favorite is the 35mm.
I did some reading about the f/2 series– rave reviews– especially the 35mm. I may PM you when I look further– I just got an email from my local camera dealer that Fujifilm is currently having a nice rebate on their X lenses.
This is another one of those classic *Joe* photos, illuminating the foreground making an ordinary object spectacular. I want to reach out and stroke it! … which is pretty well what I do whenever I pass ornamental grasses like this š
