Love the focus & DOF. I’m not getting on too well with my 35 and am tending to stick with the kit zoom and the macro, but your shot is inspiring me to try again!
Thank you very much :) The newer 35mm f/2 (which I use) focuses a lot closer than the older 35mm f/1.4 (so its a little more cooperative on shots like this). Make sure you are using single point auto focusing and selecting the point where you want the camera to focus. Either 35mm is a great lens they just work a little different. Good luck.
