Prehistoric ?

Why did the turtle cross the road ? Who the hell knows ? I thought it was interesting that he caused a traffic jam because of it. He actually stopped in the middle of the road to take a breather and see what all the commotion was about too. I hope you enjoy πŸ™‚

    • I was driving on a road in the town of Islip that was right by that nature preserve with the house that has the round room and balcony and he was crossing the road. He was pretty huge too Laurie πŸ™‚

  1. I have a special fondness for turtles πŸ™‚ Well, I also have a pet turtle that is 24 years old. This one definitely has that prehistoric look – very cool. Hope you’re doing well, Joe!

    • Wow a 24 year old turtle amazing Mike. In another comment Victor said this is a snapping turtle and their bite is pretty bad. Thanks and have a great day πŸ™‚

  2. Great shot! My other favorite giant reptilian monster was always Gamera, and being an owner of a tortoise and a turtle pretty much every shot of a turtle is gonna get my thumbs up anyways, but yes, this turtle seems very determined to get where he wants to go and love the riddle and story go along with it! Hahaha!

  3. Wonderful photo Joe and how cool to see a turtle crossing the street. πŸ™‚ He looks very determined… as if he knows exactly where he is going. πŸ™‚

I’m also excited about the new blog! πŸ™‚

    • Thank you Elina πŸ™‚ I had to stop because he was in my lane, and people coming from the other direction were stopping also. When I got out of the car I took this shot but I didn’t want to get too close he was pretty huge πŸ™‚ have a great evening πŸ™‚

What do you think ? Let me know.
