The Downeaster “Alexa”

This is a music video of a song written and performed by Long Island local Billy Joel. Years ago when this song was written the shellfish and fishing industries were in sad shape on Long Island but luckily they have bounced back to some degree. As you could imaging fishing is a big part of the local economy here. For those of you who are not familiar with the term Downeaster it is one of the types of boat used in the fishing industry in the New England area of the USA. I hope you enjoy.

Undun / Laughing

Here is an intimate performance of two songs the Guess Who made famous performed by the great Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings. I don’t know where they performed this and Burton’s voice is a little nasal but these are still great classic songs that bring me back to my younger days. I hope you enjoy. Laurie I hope you catch this one I know you love The Guess Who.

Have You Ever Seen The Rain ?

This is a post dedicated to a fellow blogger named West :) This song dates back before her time but I on the other hand remember when this song was released (not that I consider myself really old, just plain old). Anyway here is a performance of “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” performed by the great John Fogerty. I hope you enjoy, and I also hope you check out her blog for some great photography – http://west517.wordpress.com
