This is Bill. My wife and I met him today at the Dahlia garden at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Bill is the man responsible for creating the William Wolkoff Dahlia Garden at Bayard.
Bill will also celebrate his 101st birthday this year !

We saw Bill sitting on a bench admiring the Dahlia’s when we arrived. We thought he was just another gentleman enjoying the gorgeous weather we had this morning on Long Island. When my wife walked past Bill he said to her “why are you taking pictures today ? You should be taking pictures of these flowers on an overcast day.” When my wife told me what he said I just thought he was a person who know a thing or two about the gorgeous lighting effect an overcast day has on your subjects. Little did we know that Bill is the man responsible for this beautiful Dahlia garden.
