It’s not right place for questioning but I would like to ask you about your experience with different Fuji cameras. I would like to buy new Fuji camera but do not know what to choose. I still use Fuji XT-2, but it’s time to buy something more advanced. From your experience if you decided to stay with only one of all you have and use, which one you prefer and what is the most suitable lens for it?
The X-T2 is still a great camera. I used one for many years before upgrading to the X-H1. It was at that point that I realized that I needed IBIS because my image sharpness improved. These days I shoot with an X-T5, a X-E5 and an iPhone 17 Pro. If I had to choose just one camera it would be the X-T5 for a few reasons. The bigger battery is useful and even though I carry extra batteries with me I never had the need to change batteries while shooting an event. The focusing system on the X-T5 is worlds above the X-T2 when it comes to face detection and speed. Just those two reasons would be my reasons for choosing the X-T5 as my only camera. Having said that I recently purchased an X-E5 with the 23mm f/2.8 pancake lens and I must tell you I’m impressed with it as an every day carry camera. The image quality is every bit as good as the X-T5 (same 40 megapixel sensor and IBIS). The negatives are it uses the smaller Fuji NP-W126s battery (which actually might be good for you being the X-T2 uses the same battery) and a lower resolution viewfinder. Battery life is pretty average on the X-E5 because of the IBIS so it will be less than your X-T2. I’m pretty impressed with the XF 23mm f/2.8 WR pancake lens and the new XF 16-50mm WR lens because they will resolve the full 40 megapixels vs the older lenses designed to resolve 24-26 megapixels. Another plus in the X-T5’s favor is that it weather resistant where the X-E5 is not. I hope this helps you with making your decision in some small way Alexander 😊
another beautiful shot!! :D
