It really does look like its from a fairytale Elina :) we are very lucky here on Long Island because all of the mansions the wealthy people have donated to the state. On the north shore of Long Island in an area they call “the gold coast” there are loads of mansions including the Cornelius Vanderbilt estate (railroad tycoon and he also built Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan which is a magnificent place).

The place did look like a castle from a fairytale Laurie. It’s now a nature preserve and it is by the Great South Bay wetlands in the town of Islip.
