After a long hot day this jack rabbit parked herself in my front garden to enjoy a little shade. Image taken with a Fuji X-T2 and XF 100-400 LM OIS lens.

Excellent capture, Joe. Great clarity and you really got him to work the camera. 🙂

Thank you Jane 🙂 She’s a regular visitor because we leave baby cut carrots for her.

I want to reach right into your photo and give that rabbit a snuggle. What a beauty, Joe. I love that you leave out carrots. That is so endearing.

Thank you Alys 🙂 If I forget to leave carrots out she will come halfway up the front steps and stare into my front door LOL.

Wow Joe! You can see every hair on that hare lol! A really great close up shot on that sweet little bunny! When I live in Islip I used to feed a bunny everyday before I went to work, then one day he just stopped coming. I think he met his demise 😦

Thank you Gale 🙂 Sometimes they disappear for days and then we find them looking in the front door for carrots.

You’re a good man, Joe.
My next door neighbour chew me out one day for leaving baby carrots out for the rabbits. She was annoyed because they were getting into her garden. I came inside the house and quietly called her some nasty names 😉

LOL I’m sure you did Joanne 🤣 Well you know what they say about people who can’t take a joke 😳 It always amazes me that people can hate animals because they eat lettuce out of their garden. It’s like people who move into wilderness areas then complain about the bears.

Exactly!
…. but is it still ok for me to hate the raccoons for trying to break into my house every year. I hate those Trash Pandas. They are NOT welcome here.
