Thursdays snow was horrible Emilio. Between the wind and snow we got 14 inches with 3 foot drifts. On the plus side I only broke one shear bolt on the snowblower and had an extra one. The bad part is I had to install the new shear bolt laying in the snow to finish clearing the driveway π¦
Its a great lens Jane, you’re welcome. If you are in the market for the 90mm f/2 WR or 18mm f/2 I’m selling mine to partially finance the 80mm f/2.8 macro. Both are like new with boxes π
Thank you Joanne π It was a nasty day but it was worth attending the rally at Trump Tower. Its funny how all of us animal lovers think of the same thing, that poor horse π
Oh my gosh it looks cold! The colors are so vibrant, though. And the snow. I feel sorry for that horse. I hope he/she had a nice warm rub down when he/she got home.
This was taken while at the NYC “Me Too” rally at Trump Tower a couple of weeks ago Alys. It really was freezing and it was a wet heavy snow. Thank you and I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year also Alys π
Joe, Iβm delighted to hear you attended the #MeToo rally. New York is an amazing place. Youβll never run out of interesting things to photograph. How do you keep your hands warm while still managing to use the camera? And I hear youβre in the thick of it with more miserable weather to come. Best of luck staying warm and dry.
Definitely no shortage of things to do in NYC Alys π I was wearing light gloves (so I could feel the camera controls and work by memory). Thank goodness the Fuji XT-1 and lens are weatherproof. I was doing mostly one handed shooting also so both my hands wouldn’t freeze. Thursday’s snowfall was horrible. We only got 14 inches where I live but some of the drifts because of the hurricane force winds are 3 1/2 feet high.
What a brutal winter so far, Joe. I can’t imagine that wind. NPR did a program yesterday interviewing people that have to work outside (snow plow drivers, mail carriers, etc.). One guy said he wore three pairs of pants at once! Good grief. I hope you have some warmer days soon.
I couldn’t imagine having to work outside in that cold. You would have to use your whole lunch break up to take a leak wearing three pairs of pants LOL. Believe it or not this coming Friday the temperature will be in the 50’s Alys. Theres some crazy shit going on !
The world is a mess, Joe. I’m glad to hear you’ll have some warmer days ahead. We’ve had unseasonable warm temps for weeks and weeks. It’s really strange.
I’m sure the weather is even worse now than it was back then. How are you and Terry surviving?

And what was Terry doing through all your work? I’m telling you, you’ve failed miserably in training her.
