Intriguing, Joe. The flag stands out as if in 3-D from the photos. Interesting effect. I had to do a double take at “Finks” I”m glad you got to see a Studebaker.
Thank you Alys 🙂 I think the 3D look on the flag was caused by the angle of light and the wind causing the ripples on the flag. I had to do a double take on the logo also, LOL. I have seen Studebaker cars before but never a pickup truck.
That must be it, Joe. Thanks for explaining. Do you spend a lot of time scouting for perfect subject matter? You seem to find the most amazing and eclectic things to photograph.
I have seen a pristine one in a private automobile building. The owner’s of this facility are the children of Kansas City’s original Studebaker dealership which was downtown. They have a collection of Ferraris, Packards,T-Birds…about 60 vintage cars in all. They had one interior wall painted to look like the original dealership storefront complete with Studebaker cars and people!
I think I prefer this truck over your previous red white and blue GMC. The colors work so well together. Maybe its time to change our flag? Green in honor of those whose financial interests run our country and yellow in honor of 45! Red white and blue is just so yesterday! 😔
Great shot Joe, make Fink’s great again!

Love the photo. It’s as American as it gets. And a Studebaker to boot. I had a 51 in high school.
