The Great South Bay is smooth as glass in the early morning but it looks like some storm clouds are moving in. It’s a shame because it’s a really clear day today and usually you can’t see the second bridge to Fire Island (Robert Moses Bridge to the right). I hope you enjoy.

Besides being a terrific photograph, there is a quality to this image that tells a story with the boat leaving port. My imagination kicks in as I study this serene scene.

Thank you very much Michael 🙂 He was probably going across the bay to the State Channel to get past Fire Island and out into the Atlantic Ocean to fish.
