    I just went back to stare at this photo and I have a question for you. You said you shot in b&w mode with an internal red filter. Any additional post processing to add contrast? I’m just blown away. You and Mike are true artists and I keep learning from you two!

    • The only added post processing done was a 1/2 stop graduated ND filter and a vignette applied in Lightroom 5. When you shoot in black and white mode with certain model Fuji’s they have the option of using different color internal filters. It’s just like shooting black and white film and putting different color filters on your lenses (only without the expense of buying them). The red and orange filters in black and white bump up contrast and really bring out whatever clouds are in the sky. Thanks and have a great afternoon Emilio 🙂

        Shoot! I was looking to upgrade in the near future (from a Canon EOS Rebel T2i to maybe the 6D) and now I have to look at Fuji, too? But it looks like it would definitely be worth it. What were you shooting with before? I seem to remember you got rid of a camera not too long ago.

        • I sold an Olympus OMD E-M5 Emilio. I am still a Nikon shooter but ever since I bought a Fuji I just fell in love with the high ISO performance and the great sensors in these cameras. If I was a sports photographer I would stay away from Fuji but the kind of photos I take they are perfect for. You should check out some reviews on the X-T1 which is equivalent to an SLR. The Fuji’s I have are of the rangefinder type (which I prefer).

    Wow! How did I miss this post? You definitely know what I like! Is this on the island? I’ll have to move back there or at least go for a visit. I was planning on going out today to explore. Don’t think I’ll find anything as impressive as this. Amazing!

    • Thank you Emilio, hope you don’t mind the joke about the flower shot :). This photo is actually on the Island in Connetquat State Park in Islip. It is an old grist mill which they are rebuilding.
